This month: Boycott the RIAA
Gizmondo has called for a complete boycott of the RIAA this March.
This boycott asks you (the consumers) not to buy any albums published by an RIAA-member label. You can check the RIAA affiliation status of individual albums at RIAA Radar.
Gizmondo says that this isn't an open season call for pirating music, but instead, support your favorite bands in other ways. Go to see them live, download their music DRM-free, purchase clothing from their online stores, etc. Independent labels are a great way to discover new music as well.
Frankly, this won't mean much for me. I can't remember the last time I bought a CD in a store.
